New hair models, rcr and xp loss

Hi hi, :)

first of all, thanks for the new content and hair models. :)

I have a question to that before i would make a stupid decision with one of my characters.

I have seen one or the other player who did rcr for one of those new models. That is pretty easy if you are around level 10 or lower as you do not yet loose so much xp....or nothing.

But if you are level 20 (or higher), you loose 50 % of your xp, which means you are level 10 after that again?

What do players of high level or epic characters do if they would like one of the new models? Do they really have to go back under level 20 just for a new hairstyle? Or is there another way?

If you are level 20, you will lose 50% of your XP that is true. However, that would set you back at 95,000xp (level 20 is 190,000xp), or about level 14, for a nil ECL race. If you are Aasimar or some other +1 ECL race, you will RCR to level ~13.

Basically halve your current XP and compare it to this chart here. That's the level you will RCR back to, with level 20 being the maximum for characters with 380,000xp or more.

Thanks. :)

But then it's really expensive to rcr at such high xp loss just for a new hairstyle...shame.

But there is no other way to get one of the new hair models?

Not unless they implement a new barber, like Sigil has, and can get past the issues with non-permanency that Sigil discovered such IG changes have.

Time for a new suggestion thread, perhaps?

Technically speaking, .bic edits should be a quick and simple endeavor when the editor is able to copy and paste the values from one file to another. In this case, from a 'dummy' model in a player's vault to their character of choice. I'm not sure if this has actually been considered (perhaps a request thread listing player, character, dummy that the staff could work through at their own pace), but chambs mentioned in another thread that it's probably not going to happen.

Which is unfortunate, as I am among those sadly considering an RcR for nothing more than a hairstyle change (despite limited playtime). Everyone knows fashion is the true end game.

I have seen that on other servers. There are changes with a dummy possible. For end game I still find it expensive to loose 50%.

At least one hair change per account would be nice as noone knew there would be new models coming.
