First Name: Seren
Appearance:
Tall, well-built and strikingly handsome man with lightly tanned skin, long golden hair and bright blue eyes. Dressed in well-cut and well-fitted red clothes of soft linens and smooth leathers. An amulet of Sune is displayed prominently on his chest.
Race: Human (Cormyr)
Age: 28 (though hard to determine as his eyes seem older than his boyish looks)

Weight: 15st (95kg)
Eyes: Bright, sapphire blue
Hair: Long flowing locks of gold
Facial Hair Style: A well-trimmed golden beard, framing thick smiling lips
Personality Profile:
Friendly, smiling and gregarious. Seren tends to assume the best of those he meets, and has a naturally forgiving and easy-going temperament.
However, he does tend to be cheeky, taunting even people he doesn't know for his own and others amusement. Whilst not intended to cause offence or seem bullying, on occasion it does lead to trouble.
He also has a significant flaw when it comes to women. He can fall in love several times a day, loses his limited wisdom completely, and can be an outrageous flirt. He never commits though, and is likely to be distracted by a new plaything whilst still wooing his last.

- Tends to sing short poems about those he meets, or situations he is in.
- Is very careful that he looks good, often rinsing and drying his clothes (with cantrips) prior to approaching strangers
- Plays with his hair, running his fingers through it, or shaking it out, when chatting to someone he fancies
- Likes to collect tales and stories from those he meets, often pushing for a tale when it's clear his companion has no wish to share
- Tends to tell elaborate and false stories of why he left Cormyr
- Has a deep interest in wine, considering himself a connoisseur of the grape..
Languages: Common, Cormyrean
Weapon of Choice: Warhammer, Morningstar or Club. Crossbow on occasion.
Background:
Seren was a younger son in a commoner family. His tall build and striking good looks set him apart from the rest of his brothers and sisters, and drew his father's suspicion and eventually ire. His father's suspicion was well-founded. His mother, a weaving woman, was briefly a house servant for a Cormyrean Lord and Seren was the result of their affair. When she began to show signs of pregnancy she left service and never sought to gain from Seren's parentage.
Eventually, to avoid regular beatings which were growing more sever, Seren was sent by his mother to the Temple of Sune. Long was she a dedicated follower of Sune, and that her beautiful son should serve her goddess was her greatest joy.
To begin, Seren loved his time at the temple. He was good looking even amongst the priests, and learned much during the hours of darkness from numerous priestesses. His days were filled with song, bathing, and entertaining wealthy patrons whilst they were pampered and massaged.
Then Seren began to have visions. Sune would appear to him in dreams, or speak to him as a reflection in a still pool or a mirrored glass. At first he thought he was blessed, and spoke to the Heartwarder of his discussions with the goddess. The Heartwarder, whether jealous or simply disbelieving, rejected his claims and judged him overly ambitious and a threat to the quiet working of the Temple. Eventually Seren, whose visions had only increased in intensity and frequency, was imprisoned in his cell at the Temple, pending a judgement by the Heartwarder that he be removed and cast out.
Seren had a dream that night in which Sune told him to take her Blessed Brightwater Star, the weapon held most sacred by the Temple, and leave Cormyr. The Goddess told him he had a significant role to play in a war that would soon cast the world in chaos. He was to journey to the Sword Coast and find his destiny in that wild and dangerous land...
Goals:
- To discover the destiny that his Goddess sent him to find
- To prepare himself for the forthcoming war of chaos that would sweep the land
- To continue to serve Sune, though he would never again speak of the visions he experiences
- To bring a little style and class to the Sword Coast, especially to it's women...
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
- Seren is set-up to play a role in the forthcoming Time of Troubles
- His visions are mostly harmless and mere visions of his beloved goddess, but on occasion they have more substance, or instruction
- Seren still bears the Blessed Brightwater Star of Sune, a starmetal morningstar of significant enchantment, which was stolen from the Sunite Temple of Cormyr
- Seren has a weakness for women, and can be led easily astray by a dark mistress...

Re: Seren, singer of songs and servant of Sune
*sweet chords echo across the tavern's tables, warmly wrapping the swaying guests in tender swirls of sound, the bard's voice soaring in counterpoint to the deep thrumming of his golden lute. As the final thenody whispers away into memory the crowd offers it's thanks in coin and cheer.
Stepping down with a deep bow the bard takes a table and enjoys some sweet cider to ease his tired throat. It has been only a few days since he arrived upon the Sword Coast, but he silently thanks Sune for the warm welcome he has found.*
