Background:
Born in non-noble family of Menzoberranzan from early age trained in both combat and magic. During his many days of training Istzar was a sparring partner of Xeyn at Magthere melee combat school. Their fights got them constantly competing however outside of the training they remained neutral to each other.
Early years Istzar was enlisted as a guard-servant of house Oblodra. After years of service he was assigned to be a personal guard of Quavylene Oblodra.
After the attempted murder of family matron and banishment of K’yon Oblodra (his plot is connected to this thread) he was dismissed of his services by Quavylene to keep an eye on and serve K'yon in Sshamath.
Istzar took this duty with heavy heart due to his unshared, unrevealed romantic feelings towards Quavylene that had developed during his years of service, although aware of matrons psionic abilities he knew he had to flee to hide his thoughts. After he had been a witness of the tortures the matron put her daughter through his goal became to find a way to shield his mind from the matron's psionic abilities and plot a shift of power in the house.
Goals:
During his stay in Sshamath he'll enlist as a Necromancy school guard and they'll work together with K'yon on creating perfect Undeath, Istzar will offer himself as a test subject of an experiment which's aim will be making him immune to psionic intrusion due to the semi-undead nature of Pale Masters. Istzar will train both his skills in combat and magic to make any hopes of changing Quavylene situation possible, seeking powers from dangerous sources such us undeath, divine or even demonic pacts.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
Becoming a Blackguard of Kiaransalee.
Becoming a Palemaster after series of experiments they plan with K'yon.
In future Istzar could become someone responsible in necromancy school for reanimation of Blackguards/keepeing them fresh etc.
Story progress so far:
Istzar met in Sshamath his long time sparring partner Xeyn who showed him around helping to familiarize with new tunnels and passages.
Istzar found K'yon and gave him a gift from Quavylene, a small sealed leather sack that was supposed to be an item only those two would recognize as a symbol of trust. He also revealed his intentions and allegiances to K'yon offering his service to get in return help in developing his abilities. Istzar already started to do some experiments on himself that involve undeath but yet they are not visible in a obvious way. He'll share a dream of creating perfect undead with K'yon, only difference is it is Istzar himself who wants to become one.
