Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

The arrival of the meteor has been many seasons past now. Cubs have lived within it's shadow, turned into warriors and those warriors, many, have forgotten the near extinction level event brought on by humans and their duplicitous elven spies. But, some have not forgotten. More orcs have come to join the Black Tribe, Wandering Greys, some Mountain Orcs. Each seeking to prove their strength and worth to the elders and to the gods.

This has begun to breed a climate of contempt for these same Chieftains and Shamans that have sought to keep the Orcs safely removed from the world of man. One Shaman, a Grey Orc hailing from a northern forest, has been gathering the young and impertinent warriors seeking war glory. War parties begin setting forth in the wild north, returning with dead meat for their breeding stock and cubs. Live specimens, bugbear, gnoll, hobgoblin and even foolish human caravan traders wandering the north have been taken as slaves, put to work within the village with some being taken into the upperdark to be traded with a new unforeseen force at play.

So far, these war parties have gone unabated, if not unnoticed. The Shaman grows more powerful each day, as spikes begin to be placed about some new ceremonial site by his adherents. Just within the shadows of the caves surrounding the village their can be heard new engines of war, brought up from the depths by the Grey Orc Shaman. What happens next, no one knows but perhaps the shadows and the Shaman. But, whatever it is, it will be meant to rain destruction down as is the will of his God demands.

After a long trek from the tunnels of the Upperdark, Korgak settles down next the bon fire in Uruk Lurra. He pulls a large fish from his pack, and begins to clean and gut the creature, preparing it for supper. As he goes about tending to his meal, a small spider crawls across his boot. He quickly smashes the spider as a wide grin spreads across his face.

"You're next, Vierdra." He says to himself before returning to his dinner.

Agronak remains in seclusion in the orc village, waiting and watching the unfolding of things. Any that know him knows he was always ready for bloodshed

Orc warriors begin to gather around the meteor impact site. The angry, disaffected youth of the village at first begin to meander about, snorting and grunting amongst each other. Then the storm shaman and blood caster step forward to address the gathering. Those held back by years of neglect, angry at their status hiding within the barren hills of the north while others traverse the borders they once held as their right to conquer now listen to the vehement and inflammatory words of the clerics. Suddenly cries go out and the crowd begins to beat, circle and frenzy. A portal is opened, and a tree opened for the beasts to enter and disappear into the night. Where this host of blood raged orcs is to go and what is to transpire is beyond reckoning, the only thing known is that destruction is meant to follow. May the Gods help those whom are in the path of the Uruk this night!

((Event to be held this Wednesday, 24:00 GMT and 8pm EST for all *evil and chaotic* Orc characters, meeting at Uruk Lurra to start))

Just as the warriors gathered, Chieftain Grimnail arrived with a host of his handpicked shamans, the Warlords of the village. After much bluster and banter between Grimnail and the Grey Orc Shaman Ghoragdush, the Shaman's followers saw his inevitable defeat at the hands of the many Black Orc warriors called to arms in support of the Chieftain. Ghoragdush follower's turned their support from him to Chieftain Grimnail. Banished from the village, the Shaman took to the shadows and receded into the bowels of the dark caverns surrounding the village.

The war would not come upon the those whom slain his cubs, or who moved this Black Orc tribe into the presence of their One Eye, but war was to come. One could only wonder, how long might it be before the Shaman might return but most importantly, with whom....

Every now and then during the day, the blackguard of Gruumsh known as Obahzk Elf-Skinner among the orcs of Uruk Lurra speaks these words to gatherings of orcs in Uruk Lurra:

"I, Obahzk of the Phuutaro, have been chosen by Chief Grimnail to build strong relations with the Witch of Darkhold and her Zhentarim tribe. Soon I will gather elite orcs and speak of strategy and what we can gain from this. Join me, and let us use this opportunity to spread the fear and terror of Gruumsh to the lands of the humans, dwarves and elves!"

(( I intent for this to be a meeting in Uruk Lurra, so we can IC meet as orcs and talk about orcish plans. Any orc or half orc is welcome (provided they follow the laws of Uruk Lurra, of course!).

Orc event with DM Ink! ))

A large, heavily armoured, mountain orc, boldly enters the village of Uruk Luura, immediately drawing the attention of the members of the tribe. He introduces himself as Skagrot of the fallen Skullsplitter tribe, and declares that as follower of The Tribe of He Who Watches he has come to bare witness to the mighty and proud orcs who's success in their recent battle has brought them much glory.

He then requests to join them in their future wars and to revel in the glory to come!

The next few moments of the meeting, were the most dangerous for him.

Even for a veteran warrior such as himself, either showing too much caution or on the other hand, too much aggression, would certainly spell his doom. But Skagrot is strong and does not fear death. He is careful to stare down any orc who seeks to expose any sign of weakness in him. If all the village warriors suddenly attacked, he would face them all and take many of them with him to join Gruumsh in the afterlife. He also is no fool and as a visitor in another tribes home, is cautious not to go too far, to the point of trying to dominate any of the warriors.

Sure enough, the villagers soon lose interest in him as they become distracted by what he has brought with him. For Skagrot comes baring gifts!
Much cooked, cured and dried meats from various game hunted on lands outside Uruk Luura territory.
Many newly crafted axes and swords, freshly sharpened and ready to draw blood.
Gathered herbs for the use of the shamans.
For chief Grimnail, four rare white tiger pelts.

All rewards earned in service to One Eye. A mere spec of the kindness Gruumsh shows his worthy followers!

Skagrot returns to Uruk Luura regularly after that first meeting and would become a welcome visitor to the village. Not necessarily for the gifts he would bring with him, although that did not hurt. The village simply was pleased to have another warrior to add to their ranks, to support the cause of the Orcs.

*An especially not so intelligent orc, but brutally strong and large in size, and in loyalty to Chief Grimnail and the One Eyed, might be seen eagerly following about Skagrot in recent tenday whether in or outside of Uruk Lurra. Slishkdu Ulf-Brukker, he would call himself. Eager to kill elf, dwarf, and otherwise…*

A strange thing happened this night in the village of Uruk Lurra. As the warrior Gurzhuk wandered out on another of his hunts, it was not unusual for him to be gone for long periods of time and come back bloodied, bearing large sacks of plundered goods or the flesh of beasts.

But this night was different.

This night, Gurzhuk returned very quickly, and largely uninjured, carrying a breathing scandal: A foreign orcish woman wearing a mismatched set of full plate, with large gashes across her limbs, and her weapon claimed by her bearer. As any proper orcish warrior should be, this "Ogga" seemed mostly unfazed by her wounds... but what was she doing fighting out in the wilds in the first place?

After carrying Ogga to a hut and idly questioning her about her origins, Gurzhuk soon ventured back out to resume his hunt... though not before reminding her of her place in the tribe...
