Palemaster Summons and Disguise questions

I have 2 questions:
I'm building a sorceror Palemaster and need to select my spells carefully.
What would be best summons for Pale Master? There are class Summon "spell like" abilities:
- Animate Dead
- Summon Undead
- Summon Greater Undead

Can those be summoned at the same time(or any combination of two of them)? How do they scale (if they do) with CL?
There are also a spells:
- Greater Planar Summoning
- Summon Creature I - IX
- Summon undead spell (lesser to greater i think)
- Gate

How do those scale with CL (if at all) and can they be summoned with any of above at the same time.
Initially i was thinking to use Greater Planar + class Summon Greater Undead. But now I'm not sure if they work together, and if it's worth for sacrifice of sorc lvl 8 spell slot for it. Perhaps simply I should stick with class summons? Any advice is most welcome. Also I'd like to know how such summons do in endgame? Will they still remain viable 25+CR considering I'll focus my sorcorers spell on buffing them?

My second question is about Disguise Self spell - would such spell make any sense to character whos normal non-magical Disguise skill is maxed anyway? How detection works in this case?

Heya Mork,

the pale master's ability and any summon work together, the spells no matter which you use will always cancel out the other spell but not the pale master one.

To me it seemed that the lesser planar binding is very effective for its level, the shadow mastiff has 3 attacks and at a really good AB. He also has a sneak attack and buffed becomes a real beast especially for the level you get the spell at. I extend it as the duration is otherwise a bit lackluster.

As to viability in late game I can't tell you and am wondering the same. As far as I know they do not scale off of CL only the pale master's pet scales.

The disguise question I again can't answer XD

If you play a palemaster you wont need other summons. They are - or will be fine. But Palemaster summons are currently on discussion so changes might happen again.

A buffed vampire is usually able to solo duergar compound and driders as example.

Not sure if its already live, but lesser planar ally summoned level 11 outsiders, thats wrong and will be fixed (they will be 10 and thus loose an attack).

Dont take the disguise spell as sorcerer.

So if I understood correctly:
- Summon Undead
- Summon Greater Undead
Can be summoned at the same time?
And in the endgame Summon Undead will be stronger than Greater Planar Summon so it makes no sense to go Summon Greater Undead + Gr. Planar?

Good I've just began with this char so plenty of time until he reaches lvl 8 magic.
Basically I know Vampire is good but need to decide on my secondary summon to be either GR.Planar or Animate Und. from Palemaster.

Said it many times: The Palemaster 10 summon is the best non-companion long term summon in the game.
