The One Weapon feat, still not understand very clear

1. Weapon restriction: Disabled while unarmed it is for sure. How about ranged weapon or throwing weapon? Disabled?

2. Armor restriction: None? Works for all kinds of armor?

3. The secret roll: How often does it make? Once per round while in combat?

4. The tumble check and the maneuvers: How does the tumble check work? To determine which of the maneuvers to take effect? Or the maneuvers will be random selected?

It seems this feat has been changed a lot since I tested the former "One Hander" last year. Can anyone explain this? Thank you.

1. Doesn't work for ranged weapons, throwing included.

2. None.

3. Once per round while in combat.

4. There are three steps.

First a roll to see if there is a tumble check or not, 1/2 chance of happening.

Secondly the Tumble check (12 + your attacker's BAB (or your own BAB if the attacker can't be found) vs your tumble score +d20)

Thirdly if it succeeds then one of the following manoeuvers is selected at random :
  • acrobatic dodge (+4 tumble, +1 dodge AC)
  • weaving assault (+d4 AB)
  • insightful footwork (+2 dodge AC)
  • deflecting sweep (1 Deflection AC, +1 for every ten parry ranks)
  • off-hand swap (+4 bluff)
They all have equal chances of happening and their benefits last for 1 round.

The tumble check is likely a bit too easy ... It was tweaked because it wasn't working entirely reliably and because it was too powerful.

Note that you always get +1 AC when one weapon is active in addition to the chance for the other benefits. It's still a very worthwhile feat, but before the modification it was definitely too strong.

This is strange, it doesn't disable when my char uses it with a longbow. I'm pretty sure he keeps getting random rolls in between.

Although I must admit I rarely use the longbow or any other ranged weapon, only to lure enemies.
