A bit of background, Alio has made his way to Baldur's Gate from the Moonsea. He intends to make a fresh start hoping that word of his crimes would never reach Baldur's Gate. He is seeking out master wizard or other means of learning the arcane.

Unknown to most, Alio was a former student at a mage school but was expelled for practicing necromancy. He is also power hungry and believes that the dead hold many secrets that could be utilized.
