Eastern BG - Illyrius's Wondrous Items Emporium (07/13/2021)

Flyers are posted and distributed through the streets of Baldur's Gate inviting to a freshly set up stall in the Wake district, where sundry magical wares are displayed to the delight of the adventurous sort. It is said that behind the enterprise is a silver-tongued mage by the name Illyrius.
Two male clerks handle the clients, while two more armed men are present nearby to keep a watchful eye on the shop's operation. As of this time, the presented goods are available only for barter of other highly magical crafts equipment, any offer of mere coin is swiftly rejected.

Stopping by and browsing through the long list Mealir also inquires the special goods available for barter then proposes a magical halberd for the scabbard of Keen Edges.

Krueger gives out an Epic Swashbuckler mithral chain shirt to the man, then he takes out "927,000" gold coins and gives the man for items he is shopping.
The Orange Man was seen walking away with a mithril Breastplate, one amulet, one Handaxe, one club, and one bow.

Some of the wares have changed hands, when "The Orange Man" arrived at the stall with a sizeable amount of coin.

After the dealers heard the proposal, one of them excused himself and moved to the back of the stall, while the other one informed Maelir that the offer had to be discussed with the boss. Shortly after, the merchant returned and relayed to Maelir a refusal. The reason for it was that the mage did not believe the halberd would be met with similar demand to the scabbard, despite the obvious quality of the weapon.

More and more goods have been sold and it is safe to claim the shop's opening has been largely a success. One mystery yet to be revealed in time, is the future of a mithral chainshirt that so many have set their eyes on.

The merchant took few moments to describe how great those boots are before mentioning the price: 215 bags.
