Pally Build Advice -

So I thought I would maybe try a Paladin for a change of pace. I was hoping you can look over this build I created and give advice/tips/comments/insults/complaints/praise/worship or whatever.
http://nwn2db.com/build/?270215
First thing - A Paladin of Tyr with sneak damage. I am not sure I am comfortable with my pally trying to hamstring his foe the minute the foe turns his back....But then again, going straight for a vital organ could be considered giving a merciful death should the persons crimes deem such heavy justice.
I think my pally would try to fight fair and not attack from behind in the first place unless the situation warrents the use of such tactics. For example an ally is surrounded by attacking orcs and is in trouble. I join the fray and stab one of them in the back to try and even the numbers before my ally falls to the orcan blades.
I am still a bit ify RP wise- feedback please and thanks.
Second thing -should I increase int and reduce con for more skill points. Maybe up tumble and diplomacy maybe?
Third thang - I took tower shield as a feat for defensive purposes. Should I maybe take Combat Expertise instead - or maybe something else instead- extra turnings?
I havent played a pally on this server before so mechanically do you think this fella will be sound?
Thanks in advance.

Evasion & Expose weakness are going to be changed (sometime) so that they no longer work in medium or heavy armour. You should build with that expectation in mind. That is all I am going to say.

Why Hospitaler?

Other than the advice above, your build looks good for an EDM Paladin Hospitaler. Even Rogue might work with a Tyrran. Especially if it started that way. A rogue that found the way of Justice and now serves as a scout.

Good tip regarding the whole evasion/expose weakness in armour thing. Is this a change taking place next week or next year?
I could still take a dip in rogue for the skills. Or I could take 4 levels of fighter for the feats....
I would like to spash the hospitaler/pally with something extra.
@Deathgrowl - Hospitaler lets you keep a lot of your pally spell progression while obtaining bonus feats.

Tekill... Hospitaler I suppose gains you 1 non-epic feat. However, Paladin gets bonus epic feats at 23, 26 and 29 so those bonus feats at Hospitaler 5/9 are just making up for lost feats at paladin 23/26. In addition, Smite damage for paladin is based on paladin levels, so you could be doing 27 damage on a smite vs. 18. In addition, with having -4 CL from Hospitaler your only hitting CL27 after Practiced Caster. I feel like you would gain more out of Fighter 4 or Divine Champion 4, honestly. Fighter would give you 3 pre-epic feats (1 at level 1, 1 at level 2 and Tower Shield Proficiency for free, opening up a 3rd feat in your build) plus an epic feat at F4 and P23 so you have the same number of Epic feats, the same final Caster Level and better smite evil. Divine Champion 4 gives you the same # of pre-epic feats and the same number of epic feats, plus you get better saves, lay on hands, smite infidel. In addition you have CL27 still and better smites.
If Hospitaler was solely about getting extra feats you came out of the deal with 1 extra pre-epic feat and there are better ways to do that without the RP baggage that comes with being both a paladin and a hospitaler...

Okay thx Chad. fighter or DC it shall be while keep the rogue levels.
Most likely last question...concentration. I will usually just be buffing- should I bother with this skill?
Any pallys out there swear by it?
I would like to get some sense motive happening instead...mayhap.

Go paladin 26, annointed 4.
Access to tumble, spellcraft, gives tower shield, blind fight and toughness. only costs you 1 feat which gives +2 to willpower. Still better ahead.
Also get +1 elemental damage, always handy

MAA dont get tower shield.
SO with MAA you get +1 defense, tumble and a armour feat. (Good if you aint got mithril I guess?)

Build for monk instead of rogue and plan for light armor, evasion and EW. INT 13+ for CE/ICE can make up for most of the AC lost.
Usually Paladin26/monk4 should be enough for a powerful EDM build. Otherwise you can opt for a Pal24/F3/Monk3 split.

Divinate Kit: Doesnt it need to have True Believer as requirement anymore?

Don't worry about this, because you will get a free rebuild if a change which is so significant comes in, and while we're at it, there had been talk regarding changes to EW for several years now, and nothing has been implemented yet.
If you want EW in your build (and you do because it is too good to pass up) pick Monk like Mrm3ntalist suggested, it is much better choice RP wise. I would just add that I would pick 6 Monk levels for free IKD.

I totally know what Divinate means but for the paladin newbs out there, can you shed some light?

okay, so the Divinate loses Aura of Courage, smites, lay on hands power, turn undead potency, and some cure diseases but its magic is better. I like it but can we get confirmation if this True Beleiver feat is actually required?
The monk idea is sound but the idea I have for my Pally is more traditional warrior type.
Im thinking 4pally 3rogue 4fighter 19Divinate - might work for my guy but still working on it....
