DR not stacking

I noticed that Barbarian DR does not stack with the DR from the 'Scarred Flesh' ability granted by Warrior of Darkness, even though they are the same DR type.
Greater Resiliency and Epic DR do stack with DR sources of the same type.
The only information I saw informing players that 'Scarred Flesh' does not also stack with other sources of identical DR is when I actually received the feat at level up.
This seems like an oversight or bug...
Is it?

i do not think that DR is supposed to stack from multiple sources. there are a limited number of DR's that will stack and that is EDR and greater resiliency iirc. beyond that i think no other DRs will stack with another.

uhhhh.. chambo... are you saying that DR from WoD and DR from barb will stack? everything i have heard up to now says no.

I see.
Could Scarred Flesh and Unbroken Flesh be made to stack with Barbarian DR?
I've played a Dwarven Defender with 15dr before, so this change wouldn't be unprecedented or overpowered imo.

A pure Barbarian can currently get a DR of 18/- Enabling this to stack would allow a multi-classed Barbarian get a DR of 19/-, potentially better than pure Barbarian and at minimal loss.
Another way to do it maybe allowing Anointed Knight or Warrior of Darkness levels to stack with Barbarian for DR purposes?
This would prevent pure Barbarian being surpassed, though it does leave Dwarven Defender behind and it would imply the prestige classes are Barbarian based.
