Hey.

Seems Photobucket has decided to cash in on users allowance of image-hostings on third party websites.

I noticed it in the "Custom changes to the server"-topic, and Companions tab. Usually, it shows images of the companions. Now you get a neat little "Please check your account settings".

Try checking various pictures on the forum and some accounts will find that they've exceeded the limit, thus the img. no longer being shown.

Photobucket's been shady for years, which is why I use ImageShack. Yes, it costs, but it only costs $20 a year. There's no auto-resizing, which is why I initially abandoned Photobucket, and the site's been dependable to me for about... eight years now.

Yep I will be moving my images over to another host. Photbucket has been wonky anyway. It is always so laden with adds that it almost crashes most days anyway. I will also be sending them a scathing review.

Let's hope postimage isn't going the same way. I left imageshack because they were not free anymore. And my gallery got sacked.

But 20 bucks a year really doesn't seem to be much.

Try postimage.org. It's darn simple.

Use Imgur.

http://tinypic.com/ is another free one that is relatively easy to use (though sometimes makes you sit through annoying adds).

Fortunately my many images in my RP threads seem to be ok. Might have to change over soon, though, if they're getting this grubby for cash.
