Scry auto pvp consent + disguise

What if I disguise myself, then cast a scry spell and my magic eye is discovered. What would they see, my disguise name, my real name? Would they really know who really did it then?

When a scrying sensor is created it bears the caster's unique arcane mark which can be deciphered with a spellcraft check, thus revealing the mage's identity because disguise is irrelevant when it comes to arcane marks.

Mechanically though that doesn't work, does it?

If it doesn't, it should, because a caster's arcane mark is not something that can be disguised, especially when it comes to the scrying spell.

The spell itself merely states
Regardless of the saving throws, if a creature in close proximity is able to see the sensor it performs a spellcraft check against the spell's DC to identify the caster. If successful, both parties are informed and the eavesdropping party will have auto-consented to PvP.
Might be a job for QC to test what mechanically happens in this situation. I suspect it will only reveal the character's disguised name and not their true identity as it well should.

I've tried a few times to make it happen. Never seen any sign it does work or even makes a throw. I'll try again :E

You need to be able to see the sensor (See Invisibility/True Seeing), then perhaps try an Inspect on the sensor once you can see it? I never tried this out either.

Hm. Wow. That begs another question, then. What if I got the spell from my priest domain? Priests don't have a personalized wizard sigil, don't they?
