Can anyone recommend me a decent hin ranger build? Doesn't have to be optimised but shouldnt suck too hard either.

Weapon should be a shortbow.

R22/A8, R30 or R26/F4. Get STR 13, DEX 25+, CON 11 or 13, INT 10-14, WIS 14, CHA dump. Feats deepens on build by definitely weapon focus, point blank shot and improved crit.

Or you could go for wisdom pure ranger and zen archery. Although your ac will hurt you should never get into melee with your hin. If you take a boar or a bear as a companion you should do fine with all the spells. Even other companions are golden as long as you don't choose the badger.

On the above builds you can go with wisdom 12 too. If you want more points into con or int.

while true WIS is a great option, a hin archer lends itself more toward the DEX route which is why i recommended it.

Go for sling as a halfling!
