Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Hello everyone.

I came here to this server back in April from NWN1, having played on a server there for just shy of 3 years. I came with a group of friends. Some of you might remember the druid Cory and his bear, Squirrel, in fact. Sadly some like Cory had this horrible thing called real life steal them away. Others missed being the well known and established player characters they were on our old server and went back. I stayed, loving the server, the rp, the lore and the player base.

I have, however, been asked/accused of/refused rp because of some thinking I am a former player by the name of Silver Linings. I'm not that player. I do not know the player or anything about her.

I hate that I have to even address this but it's been three months now and it's still being brought up. There are players now that I've Rp'd with and chatted oocly with long enough who can verify I'm just a goof from Florida who rarely sleeps, who has the attention span of a gnat at times, and who is just there to have fun and hopefully help others to do the same.

I have heard of that several times. I have played here since December 2016 actually. I have never seen Silverlining in-game and I don't even know that player. I believe when you say you are yourself.

I see we actually want the same things here. I'm glad you still like the server and I still hope we'll have much fun together. I sometimes have the feeling I get avoided or ignored and don't even know why. But I have found people I like and I hope they have the same fun with me, as I have with them.

Don't get annoyed by that. As you say, it's been three months. Leave it behind you and have fun with those who want to play with you.

What nwn1 server... might have played there at some point?

I just wanted to add that for those of you that think I'm Stephen Hawking because of my amazing intelligence, to please just stop thinking that. I know it's hard not to believe it...but it's just not true.
Besides, he only plays Favorite Souls....

If it makes you feel any better Silver Lining was a great rp'er as well as dedicating some of her time as an area builder for the server. Certainly worse folks to be compared to! Enjoy playing and welcome!

The rumour train needs to stop riding so fast on stuff like this. Refusing RP because you think someone might be someone? How OOC is that?

Don't let rumors or gossip bother you. They occur everywhere, and often people aren't as well-informed as they imagine themselves to be. I mean, you wouldn't believe some of the things I've heard people say about me.

Like I'd seriously lock the devs and DMs to their desks and feed them only oatmeal and water?

Oatmeal's expensive . . .

Whoa, you aren't silverlining? Darn! Looks like all these folks who wanted to RP with silverlining won't be able to RiP. You could have snagged up a lot of good RP! Ah well. . .

It seems very unfortunate that this thread became a necessity, TaintedSeraphim, and even more so that certain players have been basing their IC actions off OOC misinformation.

I appreciate the fact you've brought this to light in a polite manner and I hope your notice will help improve and resolve whatever misguided negativity may have been sent in your direction in the past and that you will stick on with your RP here. I've loved the interactions our characters have had, however scant (<--- Acorn's player),

Rania aint allowed to leave!!! Wolf will drag her butt back if he has to. Who else will he have to drag around in to all the worlds problems?

Seriously though, sometimes it can be difficult for people to separate IC and OOC things, ill admit i have been guilty of doing it myself. I'm just glad most people here are willing to sit down and talk things out like adults.
