MURDER IN HELM & CLOAK INN!

A terrible murder happened at late hour night in Helm & Cloak Inn- a man was burtally murdered by a woman that accompanied him into one of conference rooms and then escaped through the window! The City Watch is on alert and looking for anyone of description: Tall, green eyed, human woman, pale skin, chin slightly more forward than average, blond hair tied into a bun, with two front, wavy locks next to her cheeks. The man is reported to have been killed by repeated stabbing in his neck. A reward is being offered by the City Watch for information about the murder leading to the capture.

The female above would be seen entering the Helm & Cloak, she was short for a human female, stormy gray eyes and she would smile to those she passed by. She made her way towards the Inn keeper.

"Greetings love, I was curious about the rumor of the murder that happened right here. Is it true?"

She took seat upon a stool at the bar resting elbow upon counter and her chin on the back of her hand.

"Ghastly thing to happen here of all places no? I was interested though in taking a look at the room where it happened if no one has taken residence there of recent? May be something to find that was left behind..."

Annalena would move from Tavern to Tavern in Baldur's Gate telling the story of the recent murder incident. In her hopes to catch wind of any further information from those who live at the Gate, and perhaps those who just happened by.

[parchment]Now I have rumor, you may all know very well.
It was here at this Inn, just behind a first floor door.
So please sit and listen and I will tell you so much more.(edited)
For here dear ol' Morris, looked the beast in the eyes.
The beast and her comrade enjoyed Arabella Dries.
Though comrade we believed but soon you will all see.

As friendly as she seemed, she enticed her comrade in.
The door to which fate, surely closed upon him.
For what happened behind it, metal flashed into the air.

The comrade we believed, could not yell a single swear(edited)
For his life was snuffed, like a candle flame.
The lifeblood we hold dear, sent to ground by beast to blame.(edited)
Now the beast had to run, and quickly did she go.

She went out the nearest window, and into darkness so.
From there we wonder, where she went to hide.
But fear not dear friends, her hide we shall find.

For the watch and the Fist, are alert just as we are.
The fate of the beast is not so very far.
So I thank ye for listening to this horrific deed.
I just hope every one of you have all learned to heed.

She continues her questions with the Innkeep.

"Do you recall anyone else near by that I could speak with? Possibly provide further information of what you know? For all I have is hearsay, hard to track them down with little to go on."

She smiled to the Innkeep as she took a sip of the drink in her hand.

A couple days have passed and she has been still searching for a clue that may give her a semblance of direction. But alas it has been quite a trial, lately she has been seen performing outside the Helm and Cloak. To any that would arrive to observe after she was finished she would raise her hands up.

"Goodly people of the Gate!" She would wait to see if she had some semblance of attention though if she didn't she continued anyways to catch any stray ears.

"Hear me for I have need of your assistance! You all know of the Beast of the Helm and Cloak." Her gaze drifts over the passersby and those lingering.

"Do any of you recall looking out your windows in the dead of night and spotting a shadow whisking it's way out of this fair Inn? Do you recall a form making it's way through the dark corners of this grand city to escape notice? If you do I would hear your information to then assist in bringing this Ne'er-do-well to the Justice that is deserved! The Fist and the Watch are doing all that they can! But as you are the eyes and ears of this living city please speak and let it be known! Do not toil in fear for that is what this Beast desires! To continue to be unknown to escape with the horrific deed they have done!

I ask and I pray to the gods and goddess above for whoever you follow that you will heed my words and assist me!"

Once her speech had ended she looked each in their eyes if they met her own before striking up the Beast of the Helm and Cloak, her song to give warning to the people.

As the Midsummer Festival continued to wind down, Nathan informed her of the grand and yet grave news upon his mind, not long later finding a flyer. It seemed she would be unable to merit from the information she had attained. Almost bittersweet.

HELM & CLOAK MURDERESS FOUND AND EXECUTED!

Rumors spread that the notorious murderess responsible for the brutal murder of a man in the Helm & Cloak Inn was apprehended and executed by hanging. Details are hazy on how she was found, but some whisper of the dark burden of a heavy conscience.

Justice be done.
Perhaps another bounty would arise, or old ones to be found...she had time while she continued to find the one she has traveled so far for.

A letter by courier came into her hands, upon reading it's contents she arched a brow finding news the Watch had used the Information she had sent in to verify the woman's accounts assuring guilt. If they had not insanity may have been claimed and the murderess would of gotten away.

Anna laughed lightly at the thought and continued to read just as the courier handed her two bags.

"In payment as a partial bounty for assisting these two bags of gold are yours, as well as a thank you from the City of Baldur's Gate itself..." She read aloud. "As well the owner of the Helm and Cloak has treated me to a dinner to hear the tale of my investigation...my my.."

She smiled to herself as she tucked the two bags away and folded the letter up slipping it away just the same.

"Perhaps all is not for naught.."

The Bardess had been quite busy of late, composing new songs, constantly tweaking one she slightly fears is just not quite ready for the one who paid her for it. But amongst all the normal chaos of the day she has been inquiring about bits of land fitting certain dimensions for sale in or around Baldur's Gate.

Who's to know as to why, settling down finally perhaps?

The woman could be seen traversing various places near Baldur's Gate. A small book in hand as she sketched out some venues of interest to her.

Notes on Elora
  • Sun Elf, from evereska, possibly went off to see relatives in North, Blonde Hair worn down, Elven height, uses rapier, loves books, do gooder, gullible, more so with men, guarded. Chirpy, wouldn't normally bail.
  • People known, Vera, Dimitry, Cosimo, Rania, Friends with Thendon and Faelar - both missing
  • Places - Oft at the Muse, FAI, May know others in Doron Amar.
  • Missing a Month, if not a bit more. Last seen by Cosimo at the Muse. Normal parting goodbye.
  • Order of close people - Ver, Dimitry, Cosimo, Faelar.
  • Enemies - Dream excursion, false torture dream priestess of Loviatar, Dimitry may know more. Priest was killed in the Dream. Real? Who is to know, if so and he died what of affiliates?
------
  • An Eowiel of Doron Amar seems to know where she may be. Stating that there are reasons for why she disappeared more specifically personal ones.
  • She states she does not have anything specific at present but she believes it can be found out if she was at the Elven Settlement of Doron Amar recently, or if she was in the North.

Notes on the Raven Lord & Blades
  • The wielder of a Raven's Blade will have mind altering effects that give the wielder the want to kill, blindly.
  • More Blades have appeared four are about possible two more rumored, someone is attempting to cleanse one, who was sent by Isabella to Lady Hartell. /He/ did not wish to be known.
  • It is wondered if the blood lust is from an enchantment, a soul bind, or perhaps Negative energy seeping into the body to slowly turn one into a Death Knight.

Amidst the flurry of working for the Benefit for a New Dawn the woman sat at the desk in the dimly lit room of the Friendly Arm Inn tapping a nail against a written letter as her gaze drifted over notes. Sighing softly she opened a drawer pulling the small wax bar out and heated it up over the flame nearby. A simple seal retrieved from the side as she had folded the parchment and dripped the wax over it.

The golden haired female could be found frequenting the Friendly Arm Inn. Her voice being heard through the main room of the Inn as she often took up the stage to give entertainment to the various patrons within each night.

It had been some time once again since the Bardess had been seen but to those who know her or have heard her works of Song would hear the familiarity of her voice return along the road of the Sword Coast.

To what she has been getting up to who is to say.
