Proposing Quests: Sample Quest

Skills: None (Intimidate?)
Title: Deliveries from the Docks
Player talks to a dockhand ("Stewart") who needs help delivering packages to meet a busy schedule. Four packages have to be delivered in order to buildings around the 'Gate.
RP Goals:
The player can roleplay a regular, non-violent career for a character that doesn't have much sense of adventure. Allowing the player to intimidate Stewart for more money might provide an additional RP hook.
Mechanical notes:
Good to get players acquainted with several key locations in Baldur's Gate. (Maltz, etc) Easy XP for new players as part of a "tutorial", and a recurring job for players wishing to RP aspiring merchants. Perhaps just giving the option to intimidate Stewart without doing a roll is a better choice for a quest targeted at Lv 1 characters, who might not have built into their personalities yet.
