I am only getting 2 to 3 xp for roleplaying
Not sure if that's normal. Also, I had to redownload the entire mod after a crash, maybe that changed something. One more thing my quests look blank when I check my journal with the J key. Any help would be highly appreciated. In game name is Rolan Aylomen, bioware redwood2. Thank you for an amazing server by the way.

I don't think the low RP exp is intended. There were some changes to it being discussed but I'm not sure if they went in or not yet. I'll poke the devs about it but it sounds like a bug.
Quests might be working again now.

Quests are working! Thanks for the quick reply. Good to know RP exp isn't permanent.Endelyon wrote:I don't think the low RP exp is intended. There were some changes to it being discussed but I'm not sure if they went in or not yet. I'll poke the devs about it but it sounds like a bug.

RP XP Bug?
Hey,
I noticed that prior the latest update, RP XP I recieved bounced somewhere between 40-46 per tick. After the update it's been 1-6 per tick. Is this intentional or some kind of a problem? A friend of mine in game said they had the same change.

Re: RP XP Bug?
RP XP was changed with this update. It will now give less XP each time you get it, but you will get it at a higher frequency. The average amount received over time should be very close to before.
That said, it might get adjusted further if we are not happy with where it landed.

Re: RP XP Bug?
I had several ticks of RP xp between 2-4 ( with -20% xp penalty). That's really low. There might have been a few more ticks than usual, but nowhere close enough to compensate. I hope this change gets reverted or adjusted.

No, it is good. What the players fail to report is that the XP rate ahs been increased much more. It feels to me the RP XP gains are even better now and we should possibly consider even reducing the XP RP rate.Maecius wrote:It sounds like someone left a 0 out somewhere! We'll look at this.

And what I noticed the distance has been widened too. Now you can be fishing next to another char and you will be getting rp xp. This did not happen before this update.

At 6 xp every few comments i would have to be spamming the chat to gain the same xp as before. I feel sorry for anyone playing the stoic silent type.

Re: RP XP Bug?
While I understand this. You can emote as well. Without saying a word.
But being limited to have to use it more often to gain the same amount of xp is indeed a bit of a concern. And Mentalist even thinks of lowering the xp output...

Yeah, spamming the chat with emotes that contribute nothing can get annoying, and players shouldn't be forced to do it.Nyeleni wrote:While I understand this. You can emote as well. Without saying a word.

Would there be a way to tie the RP XP's size to the amount of characters sent?

Re: RP XP Bug?
Yesterday for an hour of casual talk -which I believe would be much worse for some than to me as I was very talkative- I have got around one-third of what I used to get before. I really don't think the increased rate of getting the XP, compensates for the amount that has decreased.dedude wrote: The average amount received over time should be very close to before.

I dare say, if anything. RP XP still needs heavy buffs.mrm3ntalist wrote:No, it is good. What the players fail to report is that the XP rate ahs been increased much more. A wizard spending an hour in a library discussing magical mechanics learns about as much about magic if not more than a wizard casting buffs on a bunch of fighters then afking at Xvarts, yet the wizard at xvarts gets 5k XP/hour, the one who actively plays gets a measly 1k if that.
