Languages: Common, Mulhorandi (has helped escaping slaves from Thay)
Weapon of Choice: Unarmed
Background: Horosha wanders the land, defending the many temples and shrines of Ilmater and giving aid to the sick, wounded, or dying. Horosha tracks down and punishes those who inflict cruelty, especially the followers of Loviatar, the Maiden of Pain. It was during one of these encounters that led to Horosha's scars, and nearly his death. Monks belonging to the Disciples of the White Rod attacked a village that Horosha was staying at, hurting and murdering those within. Horosha and the peasants of the tiny village were severely outnumbered and outmatched. Horosha and many other men, women, and even children were tortured and left for dead. If not for his extensive monk training and healing knowledge, Horosha and many villagers would have died. He could not save them all, but most eventually recovered. The scars, though, remained.
Horosha was born and raised in the Blueleaf Monastery. The Blueleaf Monastery (given it's name due to the Blueleaf tree of the Laughingflow) is located on the southwestern edge of the Evermoors. Constant troll attack is thwarted by the monks, providing a temporary refuge for travelers while near the Evermoors. Although Horosha calls Blueleaf Monastery home, it has been many years since he was last there.
On several occasions over the years, Horosha has helped free slaves of Thay, leading to his learning the Mulhorandi language.
Horosha joined a caravan heading from Neverwinter to Baldur's Gate. After several weeks of travel along the Trade Way, they finally arrived.
Goals: To continue to help those in need, hunt down the followers of Loviatar, and spread the philosophy of the Blueleaf Monastery.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Rescue of someone in need or the escorting of slaves from Thay slavers to free lands.
