Apply what? There shouldnt be any mechanic that gives/removes points towards evil/good law/chaos.

Only the RCR

There are a few, like abyssal might.
Not sure if the alignment shift is still occuring however.

We had them for a while, they were removed because it allows exploits in character building such as Paladin/Bard or Monk/Barbarian.

Alignment might be shifted if a DM see's you casting a spell against your alignment or doing an evil act with a good character or something, but that is it and it's as it should be. Allowing for mechanical alignment shift without DM oversight opens up issues that we don't want to allow in game.

yea.. my casters are pretty loose with their spells and i wasnt sure if i could be doing something i may regret mechanically. i know a DM can shift. had that happen and was cool with that.

If you're looking for an alignment change to reflect changes in your character's core belief structure and behavior, the best path for that is to contact the DMs.

As stated already, we've disabled automatic/mechanical alignment changes because they could be "gamed" for powerbuilding and didn't add very much to RP (except to remind players that the spell that says Descriptor: Evil in its description is kind of a bad spell for a priest of Tyr to be using :P).

So, does that mean when you get a message that you've earned extra xp for playing your alignment, it hasn't shifted your alignment?

I ask because when I look at my alignment numbers, they're odd numbers, not what you start with.
Maybe an explanation about how those numbers work would be helpful, if someone knows?

From what I understand:

Evil - 15
Chaotic - 15
Lawful - 85
Good - 85
Neutral - 50

I have characters who's good is up at 91, so he's done things to shift his alignment more along the good scale. I also have a neutral character that is less than the 50 you'd start with.

For each respective alignment aspect:

0-30 Chaotic/Evil
31-69 Neutral/Neutral
70-100 Lawful/Good

It's a mechanical quantifier used by NWN2 (not PnP) to allow for incremental shifts, mostly applied to actions in the Official Campaign (OC). DMs may shift as many or as few points as they like, with RP justification of course!

And anyone who has Vampiric Feast should have a 50 point movement towards evil from their starting alignment :P
