Hello,

My bardic character Brendika Firerain suffers from low lore scores.

From what I understand the lore skill is determined by :

- points invested
- intelligence
- bard inspire competence song (when active)
- certain spells
- and also 'Bardic Knowledge' which should add your levels of bard to the skill (?)

Currently Brendika has 7 bard levels, she has an inspire competence song, and an intelligence of 14.
But my lore skills are all somewhere between 5 and 8.
Those should be way higher right? Like at least 10-12 or a bit more?

I'm not sure if this is a bug or anything?

Bardic knowledge isn't applied anymore, hasn't been for quite a while.

Bardic knowledge means +1 to all skills per 5 levels of bard.

When BGTSCC expanded on the Lore skill category, Bardic Knowledge only used to apply to Lore: Arcana. There was a point when the DM team felt that bardic knowledge shouldn't focus on a single lore, so it was actually disabled completely.

Just recently that decision was revised and Bardic Knowledge now applies to every Lore skill, but at a decreased rate (1 point per 5 bard levels). I think it was a good compromise and portrays the general knack the class has at picking up bits and pieces of knowledge from everywhere.

Oh yes all Lore skill, not all skills my bad.

I do think there is still a bug for the lore arcana. On my bard, the other knowledge skills were higher than the Lore Arcana which I actually had ranks in. I don't have the numbers in front of me but I think there's something off with the math. It may be subtracting instead of adding.
