Hunter Questions

Is the wiki accurate on their feats, as in, they get none of the base ranger feats themselves? (Evasion, hips/outdoors, etc.)
Do barbed traps bypass spell buffs such as freedom of movement?
If you multi-class as both a hunter, and a ranger, do you have to have 3 levels minimum in the kit by 20, or at al?
If you multi-class as both a hunter, and a ranger, do you simply not gain spell levels when leveling up as hunter, or does it remove your spellbook entirely?

1) You get ranger feats plus hunter feats
2) Probably not since it applies a slow. There's one serious bug regarding traps atm: they don't work in PvP and if they kill something you won't get any XP
3) Don't think kits are part of 3b20. Hunters are a variant of rangers, so keep your ranger levels 3b20
4) It's currently a spell failure, so with 1 hunter level you won't be able to cast from the ranger spellbook
I would advise against making heavy hunter / trap-reliant builds for now

Is that as of the patch concerning the class as of the 30th, or pre-patch, that the traps are bugged?

All kits are for base class builds, so kit levels should be considered identical to base class levels for all intents and purposes, YMHM.
I can't find any information on the Ranger/Hunter kit as it is different to what is listed on the wiki (hunter kit is
not a base class; it is Ranger). The
kits page hasn't been updated to include Ranger-Hunter yet.

Did some testing today.
For picking up the hunter kit, you get a +10% movement speed increase, lose spellcasting, and gain the 'trap feature.'
Trap feats can be chosen either on regular feat slots, or chosen instead of favored enemy feats when those are available.
Currently 'Entangle Trap' and 'Barbed trap' are redundant feats, unless I'm missing something, or they both stack onto a regular trap (2 saving throws for a chance to apply slow?). This is because they both apply a on reflex fail apply slow at 1 round per 4 hunter levels, minimum of three. Barbed actually comes out better because even on a successful reflex throw they're still slowed 2 rounds.
I did not actually get ingame to test whether the traps worked in pvp (previously posted that they did not currently, not sure if the 7/30 patch fixed that or not).
So, for a powerful trap effect (with goodies, based on what feats you choose such as barb, tangle, or poison trap) and +10 movement speed you are sacrificing:
+5 natural AC buff
+4 deflection AC buff
+12 hide from buffs
+4 move silently from buffs
blind fight feat from buffs
+7 spot, +2 listen, from buffs
All the 'reserve feats' which now work properly
+4 con/dex buff
a few movement speed increase buffs, flaming weapon buff
self teleportation spell
+3 AB to ranged, +2 to melee from buffs
You could still use UMD to cast scrolls if you multi-classed, but thats still a huge drop off for some traps which take away from your attacking speed (Assuming they're not instant cast, I did not actually test and see if the traps worked or how they're applied.)

So, how come Hunter ranger doesn't also provide Keidrins Marksman features? Such as some of the weapon focus and specialization feats.
