Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Any idea how to get rid of the opening orchestra music when you start NWN2? The one that plays from the menu screen till your character gets logged into Nexus.

I've been hearing it for almost 10 years now and am very, very, very, very sick of it. (But strangely not the in-game tracks though...) And I really hate the syncopated start to that orchestral piece arrrrghh!

I think turning off menu music from the in-game options menu will fix your problem. It should be a slider under the audio/video tab.

Yeah I know about the slider. The in-game music is fine and can help immersion at times. It's just the menu music I find extremely annoying. The slider turns off both the menu and in-game music. So what I do is to turn down my speaker volume when I open the game and turn up my speaker volume upon entering the Nexus. And I've been doing this for years. That's how badly the menu music grates on me lol.

Is there a music file you can replace with a broken one? I always change the default video file folder to another name so that all those intro videos don't run. Maybe you could do something similar. Not sure.

Dodges startup videos altogether and goes straight into direct connection with the server.

Dropping a renamed mp3 encoded file with a bmu extension into your documents\nwn2\music directory matching the name of the nwn2 startup music file from Data will replace it.

Funnily, one of the sound track alternatives posted above is the actual menu music, the one that gets on my nerves
