spell penetration

wondering how helpful (greater)spell penetration is on a blaster lock build with 30CL?
edit: w/ ~17d6 blasts.

There used to be a bug where unmodified blasts of greater than 10d6 bypassed SR. But even if that has been fixed (no idea if it has been on bgtscc), the acid blast automatically bypasses SR (not a bug), so you sort of have an innate way to deal with high SR as long as you have the acid.

My 30 CL warlock with 0 spell penetration feats has no trouble piercing frost giant SR, BUT has a lot of trouble piercing any of the dragons' SR. Ive seen other warlocks who have had more success against the dragons (and I suspect they have spell penetration).
The SR bug with 10d6 and greater standard Eldritch blasts has been fixed.

Use a wand of assay resistance first on them. A spell breach is nice too to lower SR as well.
Unless you can get those feats easy without spending on them I would not get Greater Spell penetration. Not really needed to be honest from what I understand. If you want to make a Warlock Dragon slayer though.....that might be interesting.

yea. i can make a lock20/DS7/HFWL3 that can have 30CL and ~15d6 blasts(costs 3 feats gives three feats) but can make a better blaster without taking any of the DS levels (more blast dice). thinking there is gear out there with spell pen on it. might even be some with GSP. that would be tits.

I know there are some gloves with Spell penetration. An item with Greater Spell penetration would go against server norm pretty sure that does not exist.

A certain shop has both a ring and gloves with spell penetration on them. I haven't seen anything with Greater Spell Penetration on it though.
