Hierophant Spell Progression is optional?

Unread post by Flights of Fantasy »

I took my first level in Hierophant today with my Dwarf Spirit Shaman and I was surprised when this came up:

I thought the only option I'd get to select was the SS Spell Progression, but, as you can see, it's more like a bonus feat selection. I could choose an armor proficiency, meta magic, and my choice of any Cleric, Druid, & SS Spell Progression even though I had no levels in Cleric or Druid. Is this intentional?

Yes, due to how bonus feats work in nwn2. Pick the spirit shaman progression feat if you want your caster levels though, otherwise it won't progress CL.
