Spell Failures

I'm getting some random spell failures which don't seem to be connected to lag spikes (from what I can tell).
Is anyone else experiencing them too?

You get spell failure after you have cat an spell. Only for a very short time. Is that it?

I should've said that it's always when I cast a bunch at once.
But I thought that was fixed so it wouldn't happen, but now seems to be happening again?

Can you elaborate which spell fails, what spell you cast before the failure and if you used any meta magic?

This was the order today:
Premonition
Superior Resistance
Heroism - FAILED
Resist Elements (Extended)

It's happened to me before where lag causes the game to think im casting too quickly and thus the initial ASF applied from any casting is still in effect.
... did that make sense? Jury duty has scrambled my brains. :X

I also get Spell Failure if I try to cast a spell immediately after turning on Divine Spell Power. I think I know why it's there, though, so I've just adapted to that

Like most other things, its to prevent exploits. It needs some fine tuning.
Letting us know which spells fail and what sequence you used - like glowfire did - helps.

I remember playing on a nwn1 server that prevented a very similar exploit (related to number of attacks per round instead of spells cast in the round) by making it so characters would disengage their target on equipping or unequipping a weapon.
If you made equipping or unequipping weapon items and the like grant you the temporary spell failure, wouldn't it accomplish the same thing without the constant risk of being caught by lag? Let's face it, BGtSCC is pretty laggy, so this system ends up working against us all, which is not the intent.

Study Spell does this too.

It can even be from the first spell you try to cast.
Now to wait 10 minutes so I can rest again! Wheee.
