If you want, you can have forum-like shoutbox, but in-game. Anyone can write a message and anyone can see it. Very simple plug and play GUI.

Can be good and can be very bad.

We disabled the server shout (or rather, restricted it to DMs) due to the fact that it was not always handled appropriately.

We will probably not reintroduce it (or introduce a similar type of global chat). Though thanks for the offer!

That sounds about right. Never seen a game with this that wasn't totally abused.
