Thoughts on the Epic Spells

Everyone knows that Vampiric Feast blows all epic spells out of the water, but what do you guys think about the others? Which ones are still good or decent, which ones are absolute rubbish no matter how you look at them? What are the niche uses for them, if any, and what are their blatant weaknesses?

Also, do all reflex-based epic spells bypass evasion and improved evasion or is that an exclusive benefit of Hellball?

Epic Gate is really good. The summon is quite strong, and each of the summons seems to be powerful in their own right.

Greater Ruin is quite good for a damage spike as well. Its like an empowered polar ray, with a save and damage that can't be resisted.

Damnation is excellent. It dazes your enemy for a lengthy time if they succeed, and is a will save-or-die (one of the few).

Mass Fowl should probably be turned into mass baleful polymorph since we have that spell.

Entropic Husk is ok. Its chaos on a higher DC that kills the target after 20 rounds.

Epic Mass Heal, like Vampiric Feast, works well as an "oh shit" button.

Epic Call Lightning is probably the most underwhelming one, along with hellball.

Vamp feast has the shortcoming of stepping out of it's AoE just before the completion of the cast to ignore it.

I'm playing a transmuter, and planning to take Mass Fowl. Is it worth it for a DC wizard?

Duration of Epic Gate does seems a bit off.. supposed to be 40 Rounds. feels like 30 rounds

Question...

If your a sorcerer or FS... do you still have to pick epic spells on a base character class-level for the dc to scale correctly?

Example. If yoir a sorcerer, if you want your vamp feast. You need the dc to be cha-based rather than int. You want to take feast on an epic sorc level rather that an prestice class-level (palemaster/asock) etc?

measure it. should be 38-42 rounds, depending on internal summon parameters.

I want to point out that Mass Fowl has the benefit of being a targeted AoE spell, whereas Vampiric Feast is centered around the caster. This often won't make much of a difference, but it is worth mentioning.
