A few things I was wondering:
1. Did the server custom scripts fix "Devil's Sight" to work as described, and if so, is it worth picking up? Never used blindsight or blind fighting so I have no idea how much value to place on the ability.
2. for "Dark One's Own Luck" if you have a negative Charisma modifier, does the invocation default to giving a minimum +1 to all saves, or does it impose a -1?
3. Never used the darkness spell before on any character, trying to assess the value of taking it as an invocation (Especially in conjunction with Devil's Sight, depending on the answer to #1 above). Does the darkness impose a 20% concealment miss chance to you and everyone INSIDE the cloud, or does it also impose that miss chance on attempts to fire eldritch blasts at targets outside the cloud of darkness?
Thanks in advance. I have more obvious choices for invocations at lesser and greater levels based on my build being a rogue splice with 8 charisma (thereby avoiding ALL DC based invocations...), but it's less clear cut what 3 tricks to keep for the least level of the invocation tree.

Re: Some questions about Invocations
1) Yes, it does give blindsight properly. As to it's usefulness. I personally use it. And it is very good vs anything that has concealment to it.
2) No idea, but can easily tested by creating a lvl 1 8 cha lock and going with him ic casting it for a moment.
3)If you need it for anything but RP reasons, don't bother imo. Retributive invis gives you 50% conceal anyhow, mechanically I personally see no reason to take the spell.

Re: Some questions about Invocations
Thanks for the advice!
One followup question that got generated as I hit casterlevel 12 today. Been using The Dead Walk to help get me through the teens of grinding, it says that my undead is supposed to get a power boost at 12, but I'm not noticing one as I examine it...

Re: Some questions about Invocations
It is based off warlock levels, not casterlevel. For example, you could be 9 warlock/3 hellfire... doesn't count, you have to have 12 warlock levelsBunnysmack wrote:Thanks for the advice!

Re: Some questions about Invocations
Darkness + Blindsight (or True Seeing) is a fantastic combination. Any mobs without the ability to see in darkness will just stand around and do nothing, or the smarter ones will actually flee the darkness zone. You can stay within, however, and blast without compunction

Cool! I'll have to try that combo out.
Shame about the Dead Walk only counting class levels for its progression, I'll not reach the first benchmark till lvl 27, and I'll never get to the second one.
