I wonder, what would people pick?

a) Dragon Forms like they are.
b) Nerfed Dragon Forms to d&d adult red dragon but with the ability to breath and having frightful presence.

Keep as is imo. The huge hit to stats and AC will make it much harder to play with the return of a breath weapon not making up for it.

I would love to see the breath version of the dragon form.

Honestly, as an ex-shapeshifting druid player, if I were still on my shapeshifting druid I'd vote to keep them as they are. Shapeshifting, while powerful, has a serious downside to it. Lack of item usage (and in nwn2, item usage is a big deal when you are trying to go for as much power as possible). And, I don't think that a fear aura or dragon breath will be able to compare with the druid spell book. Druids have enough offensive tools that they won't really need a breath attack, and a fear aura would see very marginal use.

Perhaps, if the aura decreased enemy saves, it would be useful. But, I don't think it would be worth the loss of sustainability.

Then again, you'd have to specify on what the fear aura and dragon breath do, and what the nerf on dragon shape would be. Conceptually, I'd say no. But, the numbers might tell a different story.

Dragonforms already have a rather low ab and a decent ac (for the red, the other versions are a little worse). Lowering that would make the dragonform just a rp tool.

Dragonbreath although nice wouldn't be very useful imo, in epic lvls I expect the foes to save and sometimes not even taking the elemental damage.

Frightful aura makes the enemy run away, which sometimes is more of a nuisance than a help, if it affects them at all.

If it were implemented as a paralyzing fear then it could be a desirable effect for the druid. But even so I rather keep the stats as they are instead of getting some features that won't help much against bosses for instance.

But the damage does scale with level. A Fire Breath scroll used by a level 30 will dish out 30d6 damage iirc.

Pretty much. Try using one of those Red Dragon Scale Mails that pop up on the AH every so often (the one with the property Dragon Breath: Fire). I accidentally bought one of those with my drow bard ages ago and thought I would try it out. I was amazed when my target (a lowly kobold) was instantly vaporised by a 140 fire damage blast!

Whether that kind of scaling is suitable for a dragon druid though...

Generally it says the level of the power on the item. Most the time Scrolls unless special just to basic minimum. So armors might be the same, do they have (Number) after the power?
