Any recommendations for a dwarven PVP build? Brainstorming.

Any ideas welcome, just tossing around the idea of my friend and I making a duo of dwarves to eventually partake in more pvp than my wizard probably ever will.

EDIT: To give more info of what I'm looking for:
Something that works, but isn't too complicated for beginners. I don't expect to be the best. I know that's not how this works for almost anyone. I'm just not a good builder, and do not know what is useful in pvp etc.

Karond's build is one of the better in that regard, I believe.

Though I personally would prefer dwarf Barb20 / BR5 / FB 5 :-)

For your reference, Karond's dwarven defender can be found here:

Not sure if it still holds up now with the changes, though.

So I went with Barb / BB / FB

Should I have 12, or 14 DEX?

That depends, if you want to use a mithral-light armor (and evasion!) later on or not.

If m.-light armor then 14/15/16 Dex (with a +4/+3 dex item for a final Dex score of 18 or 20 is optimal.)
Otherwise you could drop dex to 8/9 (+4/+3 dex item) and wear a fullplate.

Well, if I go with the Barbarian / BR / FB I won't get evasion, will I?

ohhh that's awesome. Okay, so aim for 14-16 DEX starting out. Understood.

14 DEX if you don't mind spending ~250-550,000 gold on +4 DEX bracers. 15 DEX if you'd rather spend ~20K on +3 DEX bracers. This will get you to 18 DEX and mithral chainmail works on this server a 6AC with max +4 AC from DEX. This is 1 AC less than you can get wearing Mithral Full Plate, but allows you to use evasion.

You will also need 21 STR and CON (preferably 22 STR and 22 CON if going for standard rage, 21 is fine if going Whirlwind Frenzy). This will allow you to get Epic Rage, Epic DR, Fast Healing and, if you chose Thundering Rage.

Edit: One other benefit of only needing +3 DEX is that there are semi-rare occurrences of +3 stat items on rings and such. This will allow you to use bracer's +4 AC, since it is highly unlikely that you will get +4 Mithral Chainmail. Though there is a +3 Mithral Chain available it is about as expensive as the +4 DEX Bracers and will require UMD 5 to wear. If going the UMD route though I recommend getting UMD 10 and using a wand of IMA. They're relatively inexpensive and give +6 AC for a pretty long time so long as they don't get dispelled.

Thanks, Chad. Definitely don't want to have to spend 250 to 500k for bracers lol. 15 DEX it is.

Imo, Barbarian is not that bad these days.

What about a Barbarian 20/Battle Rager 5/Frenzied Beserker 5 build, with epic DR? 21-22 CON and the rest into STR (even stats preferred). I'll build something in a bit, if you like.

Edit: I see it was already mentioned! I'll build one when I get a chance :-3

Thanks, much appreciated. It's much easier to see a build laid out than to have to visualize, or fill out my own build with the piece-meal knowledge I have lol.

This is what I ended up coming up with. What do you think?

Note that Battlerager gets Extended Rage at level 5, thus if you are looking for the best build at 30 you're better off leaving FB 5 until 30 and getting BR 5 sooner as it gives you Extended Rage I for free. (You may have been thinking of Bear Warrior which gets Extend Rage I at level 4).

You're also going to want Epic Rage in there somewhere. It is likely worth losing 3 DR to get it and only requires 21 STR on BGtSCC.

Here's one I built not long ago which is not necessarily the build you were asking for, but you can use it as a baseline, replacing Anointed Knight with Frenzied Berserker for example.

Thanks guys, so dex 12 is okay to start with? I thought I was going to want dex 15 or something?
