Considering taking this Invocation, simply because...



My question is. Does it harm allies in the same group? Does it harm friendlies, not in the group? What about Npc's?

Additional question.

Given Eldrich Doom has a spell level of 8, however, it is a shape-spell... How does DC's work? DC+spell level+shapeaddition? ... Like, Eldrich doom + Vitrollic + DC? Or simply the shape-spell that modifies the DC.

If I remember correctly, Eldritch Doom only harms hostile targets. Keep in mind it's subject to Reflex saves, so you may not get full blast damage if saves are made, AND evasion and improved evasion apply.

DCs are calculated based on the higher equivalent spell level of the shape or essence. So an Eldritch Doom (ESL 8) with Noxious Blast (ESL 6) would calculate DC along the following lines:

10 (Base) + 8 (Eldritch Doom has the higher ESL) + CHA Bonus

The above calculation doesn't consider caster level bonuses to DC above 20 or feats (which I believe only Spellcasting Prodigy would increase DC for warlock eldritch blasts).
