Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

For a while on my Warlock Daggerspell Mage, I've been rocking a twin set of the gullykin daggers known as "A Jolt of Lightning," which are +2 with a bonus 1d6 electrical damage.

Now that I'm hitting the epic leagues, I'm in the market for an upgrade, but I don't know what I can expect to find.

Only the base item damage of the dagger matter for my build. Keen, massive critical, and on hit status effects all do nothing for me. How many sources of bonus weapon damage can be found on a dagger? I don't know what the ceiling is for max number of bonus item damage properties.

To be honest, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better dagger damage-wise than the Jolt of Lightning for DSMs. There is a Spectral Dagger in the Avernus Shop that has +3 1d6 Negative Energy Damage, but it's a marginal improvement that requires a difficult trek to a challenging area and also costs mucho $$, as most items from the Avernus Shop do.

It also has the No Damage Property on it, which always made me nervous when I was using mine. It's really hard to tell if that impacted the damage from my eldritch blasts at all, though I'm guessing it probably didn't.

If you're not looking to absolutely maximize damage alone, there are other dagger options in the the epic shops that have interesting abilities. I myself stumbled on a dagger with two weapon defense from a loot drop, which is one I'm still using.

If I recall correctly, the no damage property only negates the weapon damage dice, and all other sources of damage still apply.

This. By way of example, the 2nd level mage spell "Enchanted Blade" creates a normally 1d8 Longsword with No Damage & 1d8 Magic Damage. Cast Greater Magic Weapon on it and it will deal 5 slashing + STR mod + 1d8 magical.

So if I understand correctly, the "No Damage" property just negates the base weapon damage?

Do we know if this affects the Daggerspell Mage's Arcane Throw? The base 1d4 damage is usually added to a warlock DSM's eldritch blast. If No Damage carries over, the spectral dagger would be considerably less valuable for a warlock DSM.

You can test it out with the prop weapons that the White Mask Theater has, if you'd rather not blow AvernusMart money on an experiment. I *think* there's a dagger in the props.

where exactly IS the White Mask Theatre? I seem to have not discovered that location yet. Also, thanks for all the advice everyone.

Palace District, west side IIRC.

I think there's a cabinet with the prop weapons near the outdoor stage on the north wall of the Palace district in BG too.

(The WMT prop cupboard is behind the locked area of the stage door so you'd need to ask one of the current players nicely if they can access it otherwise)
