Best way to fight Earth Elemental Guardian boss?

Hello. I was wondering... What is the best way to fight that creature in forest of wyrms crater?
I figured that Bludgeoning and fire damage work well. Does Cold/Sonic work ? Slashing is a no go as he's got like 90% slashing immunity or something like that...Not too sure about piercing and lightning.
