As you will see below, no matter what I type it doesn't show up in my chat log all of a sudden. I'm not sure what's happened.

EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED. I DONE GOOFED. I needed to right-click on the chat log and re-enable local chat. Somehow I'd disabled it by accident.

right click and make sure you have all of the inputs starred.. I think "normal chat" is one or something along those lines.
