Question is in the title. PM and FM AC stack or no?

No, FM AC doesn't stack with anything.

Yes they stack, Frost mage AC is enchantment though so it won't stack with other sources of AC like spiderskin or shadow shield.

I thought it was a 'natural' AC boost. It doesn't stack with those spells because they also provide a natural AC boost. Seems mostly like semantics, but it's important to note that it also doesn't stack with the AC boosts from amulets (also 'natural').

You could argue that it frees up an item slot or a spell, but for most mages, shadow shield is extremely necessary, so it ends up being kind of pointless sadly. Definitely not a reason to take the class for me.

I once made a Frost Mage just so that I wouldn't have to use either Spiderskin or Shadowshield for natural armor.

Frost Mage provides 1 less natural AC anyway. And you'd want to use shadow shield anyway, the DR and the immunities are quite valuable.

But that character just didn't like the spell effects, so I was more than happy to get Natural Armor some other way.
