Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

I've asked before if the sai could be added to the Server, since that weapon was supposed to be included in NWN2 for Monks, but never was.

But now I'm wondering if another weapon could actually be added to the Flurry ability for monk...is that possible? Is weapons for Flurry hard-coded and thus...no?

Like, could the dagger be added to Flurries, in place of the missing sai?

As far as I know it's impossible, the list of monk weapons is hard coded.

Unless you create a new flurry of blows mode? With the custon combat mode you have reduced the number of attacks per round, so it makes me wonder if you could also increase the number of attacks.



Perhaps even create an entirely new 'Flurry of Blows mode' that just gives you the one extra attack your are supposed to get, increased to two at monk level 11 and works with all 'non-monk' weapons that the monk charatcer is proficient with. I do not think it would even need to replace the old Flurry of Blows, it could be just some extra combat mode the monks get, perhaps it could even let the monk have Two-Weapon Fighthing with their fists.

So what to call it?

Whirlwind of Blows? That would basically sound cooler than Flurry of Blows. So rename the old to Whirlwind of Blows and the other thing to Flurry of Blows?

I think you can change the appearance of a kama to look like a sai/dagger.

It gets a bit close, my personal favorite being what looks like a baton.

I was just hopeful because there are daggers out there on the Server, for example, that have very different bonuses than kamas, and such.

But then again, without say daggers usable with Monk Flurry, it is a reason why you don't see that many Monk/Duelist combos.

As it is now possible to add additional weapons to the Monks Flurry of Blows ability—weapons not added by Bugsidian in vanilla NWN2—I'm *bumpin* this request again...after oooooooofffffff so many years.

When using flurry of blows, a monk may attack only with unarmed strikes or with special monk weapons (kama, nunchaku, quarterstaff, sai, shuriken, and siangham). She may attack with unarmed strikes and special monk weapons interchangeably as desired.

Since the nunchaku, sai and siangham are not actually available weapons in NWN2 or on BGTSCC, perhaps the simple Dagger could be a replacement weapon, for those missing weapons?
