Is mithral fullplate still worth much? I recall when they used to go for 1.5 mil and right now there are mithral plates +4 on the auction house.

My char has found one, but I have no one on the roster that can benefit from it.

Basically the value is diminished because mithral chain is only 1 less total AC while allowing for evasion. There was discussion of making mithral chain like breastplate in order to require more DEX investment, but decision was made to leave at 6/4. Still worth 2-300k, since there are builds without evasion.

Right. Evasion. I forgot about evasion changes, because a lot of my chars have very high dex and don't wear this kind of thing. (And the only char that could benefit from it doesn't have medium armor proficiency).

I don't suppose it is still the kind of item that can be traded for rarer gear?

I'm basically trying to decide what to do with it now. It'll most likley go to auction house, of course.

It might be traded for hell gear of equivalent value, but it no longer is worth enough to garner interest for things like monk belt, belt of mischief, rumanthar, or other such items. So yeah, it's come down in the world of commerce...

Short answer: No. Even enchanted MFP is kinda 'meh'.

It is not so bad for those PCs who do not have access to Hell, mithral chain, etc. MFP is still good and has its place in the natural order.

Bought mine for about 850k two years ago, you can sell it for 250k or so now. Unenchanted one.

Pretty sure that once the dust settles mithral full plates will go up again, though not as much as they were.

I couldn't trade it for a piece of a hell gear, and put it on an auction house.

I Think i bought my mithral fill plate +1 for about 3 years ago at Mudd, gues i was lycky then costed 4500 i belive probably a poor soul that didnt know its Worth

I remember when I found my first mithral full plate. I'm pretty sure it was in the kobold ruins south of Baldur's Gate (back when "South of Baldur's Gate" was the RP hub).

It was such a lucky find and I was so excited about it at the time that I rerolled my level 23 character, who was a wizard, into a gish to take advantage of it. Then I spent the whole weekend mostly OOC power grinding with an IC enemy who was also rebuilding their character. Not my proudest moment, I know. But this was before we had any RCR mechanics at all, and a reroll meant starting all the way over from level 1!

I'm sure for some people, like me, finding even one of these items is a game changer. Though for others, it's probably just another bauble for their dragon-sized treasure hoard.

In all my years here i have never once seen a MFP drop on any of my characters... In the last week i have found 3... Not going to to complain.

((Ironicly all three were found by my Tymora worshiping tiefling... go figure?))

If they're not worth anything then I better not trade my mithral +4 full plate then.

In all seriousness the amount of (impressive) trade offers I've received would suggest it still holds plenty of value.

That's +4. And not the unenchanted one.

Anyway, the item has been traded off (possibly for a wwaaaaay less expensive items).
