Chests with dispel/breach traps
I found that traps on chests that have dispel/breach on them do not correctly list all the effects removed.
Typically this kind of trap can eat 5 or 6 high level wards, but only lists one or two of them removed.
Would be nice to have this fixed.

Sometimes effects use the same icon next to your avatar. For example, Northlander Hewing and Shield Bash both lower AB, and if you turn on both and then turn off one of them, you will lose the -AB icon, even though you are still at -AB.
I am not trying to be rude or anything, but are you sure you lost the effects? Did you check your character sheet/spells that you can dispel?

One of the breach type once even dismissed one of the Greater Planar Binding. I found it a bit odd.

Yes, I'm one hundred percent sure I lost the effects. And I'm not talking about icons, but rather about spell list that pops up in combat log. Speaking of which, "disappearing icons" don't really show up reliably.Sun Wukong wrote:Sometimes effects use the same icon next to your avatar. Basically it goes like this:
The trap reports that, for example, an "Energy Immunity (acid)" has been dispelled and that's it. In reality it also eats premonition, All active energy immunity buffs, and maybe even freedom of movement for a good measure. All without any indication. You only notice that the spells are gone when enemies suddenly start getting through your defenses, then you need to go through effect list on character sheet to figure which spells have disappeared.
It happens very reliably, actually. Every time I bump into a dispel trap.

Those dispel traps are more like Mord's. They can strip a character clean of everything.

...pretty sure though that was a Mord's on that trap as it both breached and dispelled. Seemed a bit overkill in Gauth Grottoes.

There are no-save spells that remove buffs.Glowfire wrote:Those dispel traps are more like Mord's. They can strip a character clean of everything.

Lesser Spell Breach, Greater Spell Breach.
They do not check your caster level.

Can confirm that these chests really do not seem to work properly indeed.

Re: Chests with dispel/breach traps
I discovered today that it's because some of those traps are actually Mords and not simply greater breach, cast at CL 30 on top of it

I find Mord's on a trap to be too much. Dispel, breach? Sure... annoying but having a Mords' strip of everything is too much.

I like it, as it makes casters vulnerable again.
