A Tale of Perils, A Letter to a Friend

[parchment]My tale, is but a short one my friend. As such, I'll be brief and to the point
The truth is, despite my heritage I grew up upon the Coast, just as many of your kins-men have. Though my raising was of course quite different along side my brother's. We were sheltered, and lived relatively reclusive lives.
This was merely a necessity of course, and our mother worked very tirelessly to make sure we were happy. Though I was not the kind of bird to be locked in a cage forever. As I grew older I questioned whom I was, what I was. When I had found out, it was a time of strife no doubt.
To learn my father was a monster, no less a slaver- had been something painful. Upon giving birth to myself and my twin brother, she had found chance to escape. Her heart more pure than most, to take two babes forced upon her. Though painful as it was, it opened my eyes to the chance that there may be others like me. I dwelled on such an idea for a long time before becoming a man.
