Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

So, I made a character as the title. So racials of +2INT, -2DEX, Low light vision, and a special-feat that is totally useless since I'm not a spell caster.

Starting stats were something along the lines of
10 STR
16 DEX (Plan to max, for AB)
10 CON
16 INT
8 WIS
12 CHA

Planned on maxing Dex, though I never played a Feinter before. Conceptually, it sounded awesome. So I RCR'd a level 10 mule I had sitting around because I can't bear to go through those first 5 levels of Rogue.

But I realized something tragic, (besides my race/class combo) Feinting is like impossible. I maxed my bluff, and consistently roll 35+, and almost ALWAYS fail my feint.

I planned on doing Rogue25/Invisible Blade 5, but it seems like in the end, invisible Blade despite being a PRC FOR feinting, seems terrible at it. I already took my first level of IB, now being level 11, R10/IB1.

So should I keep IB, or are there other PRCs more suited to feinting? Also are bluff items going to be required by this build? Because I'm always broke, as it is IG.

I think guild thief might help with feinting?

How should I say this, I think you have the wrong ability focus with your build. I think you should go for something like Fighter 14/Rogue 16, take one level of each until you end up at those final numbers.

You go for max strength, and you get Shield Slam because it is one alternative method to get some sneak attack damage dice in. Then you can invest in Feint, and get all possible feats that increase your bluff skill from backround traits to Silver Palm and Skill Focus. You can even get Improved Knockdown and make some good use of it, even though it doesn't let you get some sneak attack dice. Moreover, the free feat 'Pommel Strike' can also occasionally let you get some extra sneak attack dice in.

This way you are less dependant on +bluff items. I would also take the +AB feats, and consider between Northlander Hewing and Improved Power Attack. Some things that increase your saves would also be nice to have, such as Steadfast Determination.

Over all, you have many multiple ways to trigger sneak attack dice, and even if you do not get any, you can rely on your high strength modifier to inflict some damage.

Thus you still need items, but you can make do with what you find on the consignment store.
