How exactly do I use Mass Fowl? I've gotten it to work point blank, but it seems to not work at all if I cast it at a distance.

Mass Fowl affects hostile creatures within 20 feet of caster. Hence, you run around, gather some mobs, stop and wait for them to get around you, and BAM, they are turned into chickens.

Maybe the casting system should be changed to reflect that. As it stands, you are able to target a distant location but if it's not going to affect that area, what's the point of even having this system? Make it work as Vamp feast does, single click without targeting.

Thanks, Maecius. I swear this spell doesn't always work even if I cast it on myself or at my feet. Sometimes it doesn't even show the fort saves in my combat log but the spell gets used. T_T

Sorry for interrupting this topic, but Epic Gate feat/spell is different now too.

Used to be one click like Vampiric Feast and the summon timer is faster as it is epic spell.

Now, it act like normal summon where you have to target the ground. Not sure about the timer, also not sure if it can be interrupted as Vampiric Feast cannot be interrupted(correct me if I'm wrong)

I tested Mass Fowl today and it seemed to work fine for me at distance and close up. Turned a bunch of beetles and ogres on Lion's Way into chickens. Was good times.

I've always had issues targeting creatures farther away from me. It's like it sometimes chooses not to target certain creatures even though it's in the area. I don't use the spell too much, so haven't had time to test recently.

I'll try and record some footage of me using it, or at least a screencap showing it was used but no save was made in the combat log. It's happened to me a handful of times recently. I'm always counting on it screwing up when I use it now lol.
