What is your favorite PC game of all time?
Even though I have not put the hours in to it like I have NwN or CS, mine is still Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines. Created by the late great Troika Games. It also happens to be on sale right now on steam for only 5 US Dollars. The game is showing it's age but still worth a play through if you have not experienced it yet.

You will also want to check out the Mods here. One is essential as it fixes the game breaking bugs that existed when the game was rushed to release.

Since it was remastered and ported to Steam, Final Fantasy X is now a PC game. So I'll have to say Final Fantasy X.

Also, Mount and Blade: Warband. Sunk hours into that one...

Wow, ok well if I'm choosing all time favourites, I keep going back to these oldies.
mount and blade warband - nothing like storming the castle
birth of the federation - still works on lan and ip direct play
starcraft - have a no install version, great instant action
I haven't played any of the vampire series, but have always wanted to.

Warcraft 3, the campaign was great but mainly because of the mods. From tower defenses to mobas, to vast open world rpgs, to mini games like pyramid escape, to rng fiestas like are you a lucker, to games like slide ninja slide and trolls vs elves. War 3 felt like 100 games in one. I dont think any game will live up to that.

I'm not sure. But right now I want to say Planescape for excellent story writing and Morrowind for the same but in a more open world, with perhaps not
as much depth but more possibilities by far. Vampire: The Masquerade was good, very good, but I haven't played it to the end. I also enjoyed the original Fallout games!
Planescape: Torment
"What can change the nature of a man?" - You are the Nameless One, a hulking figure covered in scars and tattoos collected over the course of countless lives—none of which you can remember, but are now coming back to haunt you. You are prodded awake by Morte, a floating skull and keeper of secrets, to embark on an adventure taking The Nameless One from the dirty streets of Sigil into the mysterious Outer Planes and even into the depths of Hell itself.
Portals riddle the planar metropolis of Sigil, providing access to anywhere in existence, but only if you have the proper key. Known as the "City of Doors," Sigil is a neutral ground where demons, devas, and races from across the multiverse gather under the watchful shadow of the Lady of Pain, the city's enigmatic ruler. This is a place where the word is mightier than the sword, where thought defines reality, and belief has the power to reshape worlds.
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
While Morrowind contains many quests and storylines, the central plot revolves around The Tribunal, a triumvirate of god-like beings ruling over Morrowind, and their struggle against a former ally, the deity Dagoth Ur and his Sixth House – a cult of followers stretching out from Red Mountain, the volcanic center of Vvardenfell, the island on which the game is set. Dagoth Ur has used the Heart of Lorkhan, an artifact of great power, to make himself immortal and now seeks to drive the Imperial Legion occupiers from Morrowind using his network of spies, as well as Akulakhan, an enormous mechanical golem powered by the Heart of Lorkhan.
After a storm and a strange dream vision, the player character (PC) begins in a town called Seyda Neen, fresh off a boat from a mainland prison, freed by the string-pulling of the current ruler of the Tamrielic Empire, Emperor Uriel Septim VII. The PC is given the task of meeting Caius Cosades, a member of the Blades, a secret group of spies and agents working for the Emperor and the Empire.
Fallout
Set in the aftermath of a world-wide nuclear war, Fallout will challenge you to survive in an unknown and dangerous world. You will take the role of a Vault-dweller, a person who has grown up in a secluded, underground survival Vault. Circumstances arise that force you to go Outside - to a strange world 80 years after the end of modern civilization. A world of mutants, radiation, gangs and violence.
Your immediate task is to find a replacement for the broken water purification controller chip. Without that chip, your fellow Vault dwellers are doomed to dehydration or will be forced to leave the safety of the Vault for the Outside.

Star Control II .
Now "The Ur-Quan Masters" since they couldn't get the rights to the name after Accolade went belly-up.
Not sure it would survive a play-through without the benefit of nostalgia though.
