Two brief update questions

Just a couple quick inquiries:
Setting knowledge nodes to once in a lifetime.
The update notes that these nodes were added to a few locations. But what exactly are they?
Removing fade to black on skinning.
First of all, THANK YOU. Second, what is the idea behind skinning animals? Just selling for coin? And should this be more of a ranger-specific action?

Feel free to decline to answer if these are meant to be more of in-game discoveries.

Basically for the nodes if you make a Skill check depending on what it is, gives you more information on the area. Maybe even XP for it.

As for the bat meat, wolf meat, etc you can cook it, eat it and gain lesser vigor last I knew.

What ValerieJean said, nothing more nothing less ! There's actually a 2 survival DC to skin an animal, because it's really not complicated, don't need to be a ranger :P

Why once in a lifetime? Characters level up and learn more as they do.

Presumably because learning the same information twice is called remembering and not rewarded. But I wonder if it's a throw once in a lifetime or a successful throw once in a lifetime.

Good point Pimple ! It was once in a lifetime all around, which is obviously stupid, changed :P

There we go. I thought on a failed save you would just be screwed out of the text and only people who are already playing epic characters or rcr would have a real shot.
