Since I found this while searching for the spell I thought it might be a better place to post rather than starting an entire new thread.

I understand why Legend Lore would not apply to all lore abilities, it would seem a bit over powered for it to, but perhaps making it a drop down spell to choose which lore skill on casting might make it more useful? It is a high enough level spell that the current version seems not often worth preparing, to me. With such easy access to the low level identify spell or scrolls of it, plenty of players willing to look at items for you and the inexpensive cost of merchants identifying it seems rarely worth using a spell slot to just enhance Lore: Arcana. While there can be RP reasons to make use of it on occasion, a selection on casting of which lore you wish to enhance seems in line with the intent of the spell and perhaps to make it worth memorizing with better RP utility.

If you could select the lore it applies to, but the bonus was reduced as suggested from 10 +1/2 levels to 5 +1/2 levels I would definitely still find it useful and worth memorizing.

Agreed choice would be great! With the caveat it works just like energy immunity and we can cast multiple times for each one!

I could even see something that is more random. you can have the scroll down menu, but instead of a flat bonus it be much more random.

CL1-15 d10 added to selected lore skill
CL16+ d20 added to selected lore skill

or perhaps some bonuses could be worked in to divination spells for Spell Focus/Greater Spell Focus/Epic Spell Focus as was done for Necromancy, Conjuration and Transmutation... Would be a boon for players that chose to focus on divination...most take it as their prohibited school.
