how do you magic vestment someone else's shield?

Have them put it on the ground. That is what I do.

Alternatively they can shove it in the barter window and you can target it from that UI.

Pretty sure if you cast it twice on the same person it will get both armor and shield.

no it wont, body is always primary target that way and you would just cast it on their armor twice

cant do it to yourself that way either
