Hey guys and gals, I first want to start by introducing myself, Im THACOS and Im fairly new to the D&D community, I also want to thank anyone for the future help in this quest for knowledge its greatly appreciated. Its been years since Ive played NWN and I have a few questions about the multiplayer and this server as I never really played NWN2 online.
So first off I've heard that some of these servers are pretty darn true to the actual play of D&D is this true? its really why I rebought the game and have now spent around an hour or so searching for servers and firguring out how to run it all. Ive yet to actually get a group together irl to play but I've binged listened to The Adventure Zone & Dice Funk, along with countless other podcasts and I've read a lot of 5e manuals, ect. so I feel pretty familiar with it all and thats what sparks my interest in this because I want to get that feel as close as possible with a video game and real players. Im an over the road truck driver whos home on weekends and thats made it even harder to find a group, along with the fact that I live in BFE, so most of my time is spent with my daughter and wife while I am home making this option most viable to my situation.
Second question, I see this server has a pretty high head count for as old as this game is does this server usually hold a decent amount of people on the weekends?
Third question, Im especially interested in this server as I'm a fan of baldurs gate games, icewind dale, ect. what Edition would you say is closest in this server? and should I expect the same kind of toughness that I found on my first run through on these classic games?
Again Thank You for any future support and answers! I hope to make friends with you all and hold a long lasting relationship throughout this game even if it doesnt meet any of the above first question. Im really just looking to make friends and have fun and I hope I came to the right server.
PS sorry if most of these have been answered in previous posts Im pretty excited to jump in and after having some tlk issues Id rather spend my time getting use to the controls instead of digging :p
