Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

As the title states, I'm a bit disappointed to know that Talassans, the elite amongst such psychopaths and sociopaths known as "Stormlords" are not only a server minority, but practically non-existent. Aside from my current alt, there's only one (who's name I'm tempted to mention as praise for his/her RP, but will not for reasons involving potential metagaming) that's made a positive impact on the server in terms of story driven RP involving that which is in essence, by definition controversial and "despicable", realistic traits that amplify a character to the point where you, as a player enjoy "hating" said character.

In my opinion, the server feels like the epitome of a fictional character's safe space. There's zero threat other than the enemy mobs you "farm" for exp/gold. Other servers (may they RIP) sometimes had entire player factions devoted to their deity and alignment, which coincided with their player planned events that also involved the rest of said server.

So, with that being said... the ToT is upon us. Not sure how this server plans on handling that event, but if anyone happens to be interested in the idea of creating a Talassan or Stormlord, send me a PM! I can help set you up with everything you need, including one of many(many) builds and a boat load of tips and tricks of how not to be accidentally permakilled since some players confuse "psycho" with "chaotic evil".



Almost forgot- people who are looking to create a Stormlord for the sake of pvp, don't bother messaging me. I'm looking for RP'ers who have a half-way decent grasp on old viking/norse ideology.

There was another stormlord but he got lynched a year or so ago. He was damn powerful too... think his name was Zeno.

mucked around with one for a while. REALLY enjoyed the concept. Felt a little gimped, considering how restricted it was.
amazing how if in a group and you 'electrify' your weapon all of a sudden everyone goes TALASSAN!
But with the copious amounts of fire enchanted, acid enchanted etc weapon wielders running around, it is just accepted and no one gets called into question.
And the amount of druids/clerics that can call lightning and summon storms of vengeance.
That was the biggest for me regarding the metagaming of class.

since it appears you have to be evil to use this PRC (paladin is out), can you get into stormlord with Blackguard level 3 spellcasting?

EDIT: I really do not see the worth of this PRC outside cleric/FS. The BAB loss is a lot. Even with fighter level 12 (+6 ab) the bab is under 40 as an EDM blackguard.

Can work with Cleric too.

Cleric/War Priest/Storm Lord?

You can throw in Frenzied Berserker too at the cost of a caster level (29 in total with PSC)

I do not think you can, at least you cannot in stock NWN2. You should be able to make one, but I do not think that you can.

I do not think you can, at least you cannot in stock NWN2.

But in stock NWN2 blackguard didn't really have leveled spells or a spellbook. Here, they do. Unfortunately, I do not have access to the training mod to see if this is the case. Hence the query.

I only have the original download (which includes Kaedrin's update). Unfortunately, when I add the BGSC version to the mod. file, the in-game JEGS module appears unchanged..

You just add it in the "mod" folder that is found withing the "Neverwinter Nights 2" folder inside your windows "documents" folder. Then, if you have downloaded the server files, you should be able to just start a new single player game and pick the module from the list.

sorry for bringing this post back from the deads, but its what it came when looking for Storm Lord info.

I am playing a character who is going for Clrecic/StormLord/Warpriest, I am roleplaying it as viking style and her deity is Chauntea, that's because norse people gave a lot of importance to farming, not only fighting. My question is, is accepted Chauntea for Storm Lord? I dont want to go with Talos to be honest, I want to be chaotic good.

You must have Talos as your god to take stormlord levels.

True, I just looked at the class description and its changed from the vanilla game.
Can I change God? If I do, what about the domains?

Stormlord by nature requires you to follow Talos. You can't play a Stormlord of Chauntea.

If you changed god, the server won't let you leave the Nexus due to your domains not matching the god you have chosen.

My advice would be to either play a follower of Talos or to build something that isn't a Stormlord.
