Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

There is a spell/ability that both Chaos (vamp den) and the Lich Mage bosses in lower levels of Vaults, cast but I'm not sure what it's called.
Is anyone able to shed some light on it?
Whatever it is, it is powerful.
And should Immunity against Mind spells protect from it?
Or is there other saves/protection against it?

Bigby's Crushing Hand. Level 9 spell and yes it is one of the most useful and most powerful spells in a arcanist's book. Easily bypassable with Ethreal Jaunt and getting close to them before they can see you to attack them fast.

There are no immunities to it.

The save for it is incredibly high and almost impossible to pass on the grapple check.

There is a the ESCAPE ARTIST SKILL that does give a PC a small chance to evade and that PC would have to be a dedicated DEX PC in order to pass the check still.

Spell mantle potions, scrolls and spells will stop it. Along with high SR.

When I saw it cast, I didn't see any typical bigby hand graphic.
Just all of a sudden the character started glowing yellowish, and couldn't move etc.
Which was why i was thinking it may be something else, like a solipsism or some other stunner spell (pun intended).


I wonder what sort of SR score would be required to resist.
Get a want of lesser spell mantle?

Lesser spell mantle is the best option.
