Hello folks. Bit of an odd request here.

Is there any location on the internet or anywhere else that has a list of all the stories that were written in books throughout the game? There's one specific story that I'm tryin' to find, but Google is failing me, or I'm failin' at Google.

Either way, I was hoping that maybe there's just a list of the various stories that were written and introduced via in-game books, so that perhaps I can find it that way. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i know they are in the loot drop list. i have collected a few

My memory is hazy, but it was about a merchant that hired someone to guard a warehouse. Everyone else in the area would try to bribe the guard, sneak in, etc etc to get to the stuff inside, but the hired person would throw anyone out who tried, simply because they were an honest person. They didn't even know what was in the warehouse, they just guarded the place, because the pay was fair.

No-one has asked for their books to be copied out onto the forum so I never bothered adding all of them here.

Not sure if the book you're referring to is a generic loot drop or player-written.

I’ll look through Candlekeep’s list of loot drop books and see if anything pops up.

Edit: I've searched various key words, "warehouse," "bribe," "merchant," "guard," within our list, and I didn't find anything that fit the overall theme provided. My Google-fu didn't provide anything useful, either. Best I can do is continue keeping alert and letting you know if Candlekeep finds something that fits.

Update: This could also very well be an item, now taht I think of it. Like the Watcher's helmet or something similar.

Honestly, I just want to read that story again. If anyone should find out information about it, i'll gladly pay for the book and/or item that is associated with the story.

If you tell me the name of the item I can PM you a copy of the story in question from its description, but without knowing which item to look on it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

I beleive it was a vanilla item, but the exact name of the item itself? That eludes me. That's why i'm curious if there's a list of the in-game books out there somewhere that I could just read.

Sort of like an in-game library of the in-game books. But I don't think Candlekeep stocks them, only player-made ones, no?

Ah, but I'm not really looking (at this point) for a list of all the items in the game. That would break EVERYONE's brain.

What I'm curious about right now is whether or not there's a library of the NPC books that can be found in the game. I know Candlekeep has a library of the books PLAYERS have created, but NPC books? That I don't think exists. Anywhere.
