Here is the BGSTCC custom change/application of Tenser's:Augment Form
Type of Feat: General
Prerequisite: Spellfocus Transmutation.
Specifics: The character becomes skilled with spells and abilities that allow him to assume another form. For the duration, the character’s base attack bonus becomes medium (unless its already higher) but cannot exceed the character’s HD.
Affected Spells and Abilities: Polymorph, Tenser’s Transformation, Shapechange, Spider Shape, Spider Form and Shifter’s Forms.
This is Nachti's last comment on how Augment Form will affect a Build:You are no longer polymorphed. For the duration of the spell the caster recieve +4 STR, +4 CON, +4 DEX, +4 Natural AC, +5 Fortitude, the Simple weapon profiency and Martial weapon profiency feats, 100% spell failure and an AB bonus equal to your level minus your BAB.
To interpret, this means the proposal is that in ANY build with Augment Form feat, the low BAB classes/prcs will "transform" into medium BAB classes.I think I will count the low bab classes and then give a bonus to BAB. So a wizard/archmage/eldritch knight still benefits from high BAB of its ek class.
But what is interesting is how this effects the custom changes of Tenser's Transformation!!
For example, 30 levels of low BAB classes/prcs is 15 BAB. Taking Augment Form would change that BAB into 22 BAB. Applying Tenser's would gift the build 15 AB on the former, and 8 AB on the latter. That equals the same result whether taking Augment Form of not!!!
So...doesn't this mean that Augment Form actually grants no benefit to a caster that utilizes Tenser's? Or, is it that Tenser's will still "read" the True BAB of the build, and not the augmented BAB? Thus, using the simple calculation above, the result would be 15 (Tenser's) + 7 (Augment Form) to AB = 37 AB?
Cheers.
